New Scooters

I’ve wanted to post these pictures & video of the scooters Josh brought home from his trip to Utah a couple of months ago. The video shows how excited they were. What a fun daddy!

Ps this was my first time recording a video on our camera.

FYI

We’re having a garage sale this Saturday. Just thought I’d give a heads-up if you’re out garage shopping come stop by! I’ve had few friends stop by early to get some goods, but there’s still a lot of really great items left. I’m selling 2 Greco Pack “N” Plays. They’re both in excellent condition (know anyone who needs one? Send ‘em on down). Lot’s of really nice toys, clothes, storage containers, train table w/ trundles. It’s our final “purge" before we list our house.

Happy Birthday Benny & Nessy!

Benjamin & Lanessa turned 3 last Sunday. We had their birthday party with friends on Sat and then the family party on Sunday (their actually b-day). It was a lot of fun (and work). We really had a good time. They were so excited for their party. Everyday for like two weeks prior, they would ask if it was their party that day.

These were the invitations I made to go with their theme. We asked everyone to bring their favorite ride-on.

We delivered them in see-through CD envelopes.

Their b-day cake was four 9” round cakes stacked two high. I cut a little off each end to make them lay like a figure eight. The number 3 road was made with crushed up Oreo cookies and the road lines were Good 'n' Plenty candies. I printed traffic signs on cardstock from online clipart to make the road signs. I used the grass tip to make the green grass around the cakes.

Fun bun buggy filled with dip and veggies (I forgot to add the carrots). It had cucumber wheels and small cuts of carrot sticks for the axles.

I found some small orange cones at target. I bought a couple of large traffic cones to put on either side of the serving table from a construction supply store. I also found a cross guard's vest there too. I made a stop-and-go sign out of cardstock and attached it to a child size tennis racket. We played red-light green-light with it and then the kids had fun playing traffic guard too.

I found these way cute street signs at Toys R Us when we were in Idaho. There was also a Yield sign too. I just couldn’t find the picture. They stood about 3 feet high. We put them around where the kids could ride their bikes.

These were the Thank You's each family got before they left. The little car moves on the yellow stick to race to the finish line.

Stop light chocolate cookies for goodie boxes.

Goodie boxes were filled with friction racecars, bubbles, tattoos, sunglasses & stoplight cookies. I made the racing flags on the front of the boxes by cutting the sharp tips off of some flag toothpicks I found online and than hot glued them to the front. I had to cut one stick in half and mach it backup with the other end in order for them to lay flat.

Opening presents. They got a lot of fun new toys, and have been having so much fun playing with everything.

Happy 4th of July!

We meet with a bunch of friends for a barbeque and to watch the fireworks. Josh was in a choir concert & was able to meet up with us right before the fireworks started. We took the kids to a fireworks stand yesterday to pick some out. We plan to set those off tonight. FUN stuff!

Sorry I haven’t been on here for awhile. Life is just hectic right now. We are trying to get our house ready to put on the market here very soon. I have been going through the house trying to get things ready for a yard sale. We have so many yard projects that take up so much time (mainly our trees but I’ll tell you about all that latter). I also need to post pictures of the twin’s birthday, they turned 3 on Sunday. But for now Happy 4th of July!!
