Altered Paint Can

I hadn’t made one of these for a while, so I thought I would make this one to hold a gift for my friend Kori Lee who just had her baby boy. She’s decorating his room in western décor. I though she could possibly use it for something in there. Altered paint cans are fun to decorate. You can buy new empty ones at Lowes or Home Depot for around $4. I especially like to decorate ones for girls because you can do so much more with fancy frillies such as ribbon up the handles ect. But this one was fun too! I just had to be careful and not make it to “girly” or her husband wouldn’t let it in the nursery ; )

Little Helper….

Benny loves to fallow his Daddy around when he mows. It’s so cute to see him want to help so much! There’s a whole lot of mown’ going on here. It takes 1 ½ to mow the front & side and another 1 ½ to mow the back each week. Not including weed-wacking and edging. We have a lot of grass!

Lanessa & Grandpa

A couple of sweet pictures of Nessa & Grandpa Henke. The first picture was taken last Nov. while we were in Utah for my sister & brother’s double baby blessing.

The next two were taken in May while we were there visiting. Lanessa was being very fussy one morning while we were there & wanted me to hold her when I couldn’t. So I told her to go sit with grandpa. Grandpa held her and sang her some songs I remember him singing to us kids when we were little. It was so sweet. The next thing we knew she was asleep! I was very surprised because my kids usually only fall asleep in their beds. Rarely do they fall asleep in the car or on us. A little latter we realized she had had a slight fever. That explained everything. I’m glad I snapped the pictures though, they make great memories.

My First Quilt

A friend showed me and a couple of other friends how to make this cute star table topper quilt. I’ve always wanted to learn how to quilt before, so this was a fun taste of it. You can see my friend Audrie’s here. It was fun. But I think I’ll stick to paper crafting...for now anyways.

A peek at the back.

Moab & Rose Garden

On the way back from our trip we stopped in Moab at this great park we like to stop at. It’s perfect for the kids to stretch their legs and run around. This park has great play equipment as well. (Keep in mind that we were traveling and that’s why our kiddos look like little ragamuffins)

The kids found this incredible rose garden. I’ve never noticed it there before. It was just gorgeous. The rose bushes looked like they had never been pruned before. Most were taller then Josh and I, they were more like little trees! I didn’t know roses could grow that tall. I absolutely LOVE rose bushes, I have 11 in my front yard. I think I just might have to grow my own rose “orchard” someday.

Having a little fun in Photoshop.

I promise they each only picked ONE. : )

Lanessa & Grandma

I took this cute clip of Lanessa & Grandma playing while we were over visiting with Grandma & Granddad on Sunday. Lanessa, is our little tease. She could go on forever playing games like this.

Good thing she’s wearing a diaper, or else I think she’d wet her pants! (Lanessa that is) ; )

Happy Birthday!

Today my honey is 31 years young. It’s very hard to get a serious picture of Josh because whenever the camera comes out he always does some sort of goofy face. But THAT’S just another reason why I love him, and makes him JOSH! Happy Birthday!!!

We’re not really going to be able to celebrate his b-day today though because it happens that he is the closing pharmacist at work. We’re making him some brownies & cards to take to Walgreens for a surprise. It was so cute right before he left for work I was telling him I didn’t really get him anything extra for his b-day (because he bought a table saw for an early present about a month ago. To help with his new woodworking hobby) and then Jenaya said I have a present for you! She ran up to the playroom and came back with her large Nala stuffed lion and said you can have this, I don’t really want her anymore anyway. Ahh..Thanks Jenaya.
Kids are so funny!
